With six straight days of competitive beach volleyball, the USA National Beach Tour Junior Championship took to the sands of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., July 10-15, and did not disappoint.

Ft. Lauderdale International (FLL): six miles from venue; 15-30 minutes driving depending on traffic

USA Volleyball’s Beach National Team Development Program (BNTDP) is excited to share its first-ever USAVplay Beach camp, partnered with the National Beach Tour Junior Championship (NBTJC). Girls between ages 9 and 14 and boys between ages 9 and 15 will be able to register for a three-day USAVplay Beach camp offered July 7-9. USAVplay is designed to provide younger and newer players with opportunities to develop skills and confidence in high energy, position agnostic, and developmentally appropriate camps and clinics. No refunds after July 5, 2021. All refunds issued before July 5 are subject to a $20 admin and credit card processing fee.
Uniforms are not required but are encouraged. All athletes are REQUIRED to wear a top. For girls, it must cover your midsection when standing, and bottoms such as spandex, shorts or leggings. No bikinis will be permitted for any team. For boys, it must be a tank top or t-shirt that covers the midsection when standing, and bottoms such as board shorts, athletic shorts. No brief type swim trunks.
For the NBTJC, athletes are required to compete in the age division they’ve qualified in.
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2002 OR players who were born on or after July 1, 2001 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the 2020-21 academic year. If graduated they are still permitted to compete in the National Beach Tour Junior Championships.

Join Next College Student Athlete for “Summer Recruiting Tips and Beach Volleyball,” a webinar hosted by Sue Webber and Heather Evans.
Webber is a former Division I player and coach, and Evans is a former pro beach player and beach club recruiter. They will discuss summer recruiting strategies, including summer camps and training, and talk about college beach opportunities.
