Digital Security
Zoom Meetings
From USAV IT Staff: User credentials for more than 500,000 Zoom users are now up for sale on the dark web. If you have used Zoom in the past and have used the same password on other website accounts, then you should immediately change all of those passwords. There are multiple security concerns that have been reported by the FBI and Homeland Security regarding the use of the free Zoom products. Those warnings can found by doing a Google search. This password issue is a very pressing issue due to the tendency of people to re-use passwords across multiple platforms. Additionally, https://haveibeenpwned.com/ is a free resource for anyone to quickly assess if they may have been put at risk due to an online account of theirs having been compromised in a known data breach.
