Personal Highlights

  • Volleyball icon Married Paul Bargellini in 2010. Paul played club volleyball for the University of Delaware. The couple has three children and Lora recently announced she is pregnant with her fourth. She will compete in Tokyo while pregnant
  • Volleyball icon Prior to the Tokyo Paralympics, Webster received a $10,000 grant from “the Power of She Fund,” which was set up by the Women’s Sports Foundation and Athleta to help athletes pay for childcare costs.
  • Volleyball icon Was born in Phoenix. Also lived in Lincoln, Neb., as a teen before graduating from Cactus Shadows HS in Scottsdale, Ariz.

  • Volleyball icon At age 11 was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in her left tibia. Later underwent a procedure known as rotationplasty to remove the cancerous bone, which included the knee. As part of the procedure, her lower leg was rotated 180 degrees and connected to the remnants of the femur. This gave her full range of movement, allowing her to play sports. In 1998, she was fitted with prosthesis.
