Beach National Team Head Athletic Trainer
Scott MacKay is the head athletic trainer for the U.S. Beach National Team.
Prior to his current role, MacKay worked as a regional medical provider for USA Track & Field from 2019-2023 based out of the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in San Diego. During his time with USATF, he served on the medical staff for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and both the 2023 Indoor and Outdoor World Championships. He also worked in the Division I and II collegiate setting for three years before transitioning to USATF.
MacKay earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training at the University of La Verne, as well as his master’s in education from New Mexico State University.
In his free time, Scott enjoys rock climbing, spending time with his family, and getting outdoors.
