Three Beach Trials Set for June
Beach NTDP will conduct three trials in June for various Beach age-group national teams. All three trials will provide the winners the opportunity for international play later this year.

The 2022 Beach World University Championship Trials are the official U.S. qualifying event for the 2022 FISU Beach World University Championships, being held in Lake Placid, New York, Aug. 24-28, 2022.
Participating athletes must be at least 18 and no older than 25 years of age on Dec. 31 of the year of the event; for 2022, athletes must be born between 01/01/1997 and 12/31/2004. Participating athletes also MUST meet one of the following:
- Be a student who is currently officially registered as proceeding towards a degree or diploma at a university or similar institute whose status is recognized by the appropriate national academic authority or their country;
OR - Be a former student of the institutions mentioned in a) who have obtained their academic degree or diploma in the calendar year preceding the event.
As always, safety is a top priority of USA Volleyball. Although we have all intentions of hosting this event as listed above, USAV holds the right to make adjustments to this event due but not limited to, FIVB event cancellation and/or postponement, COVID-19 obstacles, and more. Please know that USA Volleyball will not be held responsible for any financial obligations related to this event. The above terms and conditions may change given the developments of COVID-19 and USA Volleyball’s likelihood of hosting those events.

June 21-23, 2022: Main Draw
- Be eligible to compete for the United States per USAV, NORCECA, FIVB and IOC regulations/requirements.
- Athletes must be a currently registered member of USAV.
- Athletes must be a. U.S. citizen and have a valid passport.
- Be at least 18 and no older than 25 years of age on Dec. 31 of the year of the event; for 2022, athletes must be born between 01/01/1997 and 12/31/2004.
- You MUST meet one of the following:
- Be a student who is currently officially registered as proceeding towards a degree or diploma at a university or similar institution whose status is recognized by the appropriate national academic authority of their country;
OR - Be a former student of the institutions mentioned in a) who have obtained their academic degree or diploma in the calendar year preceding the event.

- SafeSport training must be completed for athletes who will be 18 years of age at the time of trials.
- Pairs must register together, and both must meet all athlete requirements.
- Pairs that finish first, second and third at this event, are REQUIRED to attend all training sessions assigned by USA Volleyball between trials and the competition.
- Training dates and locations for the WUCS Beach National Teams will be announced at a later date.
- Must complete all FIVB required paperwork and documents as needed.
- Please note, these requirements are subject to change at anytime.
- First-place finishers are guaranteed a trip to compete in the 2022 FISU Beach World University Championships.
- Second-place finishers will receive a trip to compete at the 2022 FISU Beach World University Championships, provided FISU allows the U.S. a second team slot.
- The top two finishing teams (first and second) must attend the required training sessions listed above.
- PLEASE NOTE: These honors and privileges are contingent upon athletes fulfilling all requirements.
- March 21, 2022: Registration Opens
- May 20, 2022: Registration Deadline
- May 30, 2022: Confirmed entry list released (24 teams will gain entry into the Main Draw followed by a maximum of 24 teams that will gain entry into the qualification tournament).
- June 3, 2022: Coach registration deadline
- June 13, 2022: Last day for any pairs to late register
- June 17, 2022: Last day for any partner changes
*Refunds are issued minus a $20 administrative fee. No refunds after June 6, 2022.
- Price per pair: $250/pair + online fees
- NTDP Discount: Athletes that have participated in an NTDP Training Series will be able to receive a $50 discount per athlete.
- Late Registration Price: $300/pair + online fees
Any athlete who is 18 years of age or turning 18 on or before the last day of trials (June 23, 2022), must complete the SafeSport training in order to be eligible to participate.
- Female Athletes: All female athletes must wear shorts/spandex (1” inseam, min.) and a tank top that covers the midriff when arms are at the sides.
- Male Athletes: Male athletes must wear shorts and tanks. The shorts must be a minimum of 10 inches in length, and the tank tops must cover the midsection.
- Pairs: Each pair should have matching tops, each with different numbers clearly visible that correspond to each player. For competitions, pairs must be dressed identically, including matching tops and bottoms (including lengths).
- Hats, visors, sunglasses and sand socks are considered optional personal attire.
- Cold weather clothing is permitted in conjunctions with the uniform and tops should fit snugly under any uniform.
Athletes must check in as a team. Both partners MUST be present in order to be checked in.
ALL coaches must register to participate in the trials.
- Coaches must register by June 3, 2022.
- All coaches must meet the minimum requirements in order to participate in the event:
- Be a current USAV member in good standing
- Successfully complete the SafeSport training
- Successfully completed a USAV background screening
- Hold USAV IMPACT Certification
