Q: Where can I find the schedule?
A: It will be posted at the beginning of the week of play

Q: What are the entry times and location?
A: Entry will be located on the GRAND CONCOURSE

• AM Waves – Doors will open at 7AM. Once you have completed your work assignments and matches for the day please leave the facility.
• PM Waves – Door will open at 2:30 p.m., to allow AM waves to leave after their scheduled 1 p.m. game.

Q: What is the tiebreaker procedure?
A: Please see the tiebreaking procedure flow chart (PDF).

Q: What is the last-day forfeit policy?
A: A penalty of $100 will be issued for any last-day forfeits.

Q: What is the ticketing policy?
A: Tickets for parents & spectators will go on sale June 14^th. Coaches & Rostered Staff- will receive an email with how to redeem their free QR Code the day before the event starts. Rostered Staff includes anyone listed on the Officials Roster. Players- will not need or receive QR code/wristband/bag tag. They will enter through Athlete Entrance

Q: Are the matches livestreamed?
A: Leave the cameras and tripods at home and enjoy the action – live! We have partnered with BallerTV to provide professional live streaming for this event. They have the necessary liability insurance and expertise to set up video equipment to protect athletes and fans. Any other live streaming, including the use of Facebook Live, is strictly prohibited.

Q: What is the concession and seating policy?
A: No outside food, coolers or chairs are allowed in the convention center. The McCormick Place Convention Center will be selling food in the venue and have made an effort to provide a good variety of options.

Q: What is the parking situation?
A: There are 3 parking lots and the fee varies between $16-$25 per vehicle, per entry, to park at the convention center. For more information click here: Parking Information

Q: Are there practice opportunities?
A: Yes, June 27^th from 4pm-8pm for 14/15’s and July 2^nd from 4pm-8pm for 16/17’s. Practice courts are on a first come first serve basis and have a time limit of 1 hour max per team.

Q: Balls and Carts
A: USA Volleyball will have a limited number of balls and carts to rent on a first come first serve basis.

Q: Is there luggage storage?
A: There will not be an area designated for luggage storage at the convention center. Please arrange with your hotel.

Ball & Cart Checkout

Ball checkout will be available for the duration of the tournament each weekend starting June 28^th – July 1^st & July 3^rd– July 6^th at the Equipment Tent located next to the Championship Desk #1 in the South Hall.

• Teams who intend to checkout volleyballs & carts must present a photo ID at the equipment tent. 

PLEASE NOTE!! – Although we will have volleyball/ball cart rentals available on a first come first serve basis, we CANNOT guarantee that there will be enough for all teams.  PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY!  

Team Practices 

Teams will be allowed practice times the day before the tournament begins each weekend.

• Courts will be available on a first come first serve basis for a total of ONE HOUR.

This is a Stay and Play event; all housing must be booked through Team Travel Source.

Tier One and Tier Two Lottery Results

Patriot Housing will open Thursday, January 19

• If you are tentatively accepted with USAV for this event on January 18, Team Travel Source will email the Booking Link to the Club Contact registered on Thursday, January 19 at 12 p.m. EST
• If you are tentatively accepted with USAV after January 18 – Team Travel Source will email the Booking Link to the Club Contact registered, once we have notified Team Travel Source of your Patriot standing.

Patriot teams can only book at Patriot indicated properties. Properties will be marked as a Patriot hotel on the booking site. You can refer to Team Travel Source’s Housing Page for additional information

Entry Fees

• 14-17 Open, National, USA, Liberty, American, Freedom – $1,000
• 14-17 Patriot – $900

Once a team has either accepted a bid or received a spot in the Patriot Division, they will be placed in an “OK to Pay” status. Only then will they be prompted for payment. Check or credit card is accepted.

Due to the recent changes in fees imposed by credit card merchants, all credit card payments will incur a $25 non-refundable convenience fee. There are no convenience fees for paying by check.

Refund Policy

A team that is denied entry to the  National Championship by the USAV Events Department shall receive a full refund of their entry fee.

• There will be NO REFUNDS if a team removes itself from the event after the registration deadline, which will be outlined in the acceptance email sent to the individual team.

Patriot List & Waitlist

General Information

• The Patriot Division is the only Pay to Play Division at the Girls Junior National Championship.
• Registration for the Patriot Division will open at the below times through the official event registration system, Advanced Event Systems (AES):
  • 14s – 17s: 12 p.m. EST on January 18, 2023

• The maximum number of teams that will be accepted in each Patriot Age Division will be as follows:
  • 14, 15, 16 and 17 & Under Age Divisions: 128* teams each

• The first 128* teams (14-17 & under) to register, based on date and time of entry in AES, will be notified through email that they have been tentatively accepted into this division. In the email, these teams will be given a specific deadline by which their Official Entry Form and entry fee must be received at the USA Volleyball National Office AND their housing must be booked through Team Travel Source, in order to be officially accepted.
  • PLEASE DO NOT mail Official Entry Forms and fees to the USA Volleyball office UNTIL you have received notification of acceptance into the Patriot division from USA Volleyball Events Staff.
  • If teams fail to complete all entry requirements by the given deadline, they will automatically be moved to the bottom of the wait list.
  • All teams must book their housing through Team Travel Source in the Patriot Block and abide by the Stay & Play Policy.
• Teams that are not accepted as the top 128 teams, will be placed on a waitlist based on their date and time of entry in AES. This waitlist will be posted on the USA Volleyball website.
• If a team receives a Patriot bid and then later qualifies for a higher division, their entry materials will be transferred to their new division. That team’s Patriot bid will be awarded to the next team in line on the wait list (barring any team whose club has already met their team limit).
• Patriot Refund Deadline: May 8, 2023

*Please note: The Patriot division will be limited to 2 teams per club, per age group in the 14 & Under through 17 & Under age groups. If the age groups are not filled, we will then consider increasing this limit.

Stop by our booth before your matches to sign up for Official USA Volleyball Action Photos for you and your team.

We only photograph by request and sign up is free, but spots fill up quickly. About an hour after your match you can view your photos on the iPads at our booth, create your album of favorites, and then place your order. You will get 5×7 and 8×10 prints, photo plaques, and digital photos at the tournament – posters will be mailed afterward. Don’t miss this unique and fun opportunity.

Also come by our booth to schedule and take your special team photos. It’s free to sign up and take your team photo, but slots fill up quickly as well. It only takes a few minutes to take and immediately preview your team photo. Don’t wait until the last day when we are extremely busy with team photos. Each parent can purchase 5×7 prints, 8×10 prints, and photo plaques of both regular and silly team photos.
