COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 10, 2021) – More than 400 girls and boys beach teams with players ages 12-18 are scheduled to compete July 10-12 and 13-15 at the USA National Beach Tour Junior Championship in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The Junior Championship is USA Volleyball’s largest beach competition of the season. The first weekend will include matches for 16-and-under girls and boys and 12-and-under girls. The second weekend will feature girls 14U and 18U and boys 12U, 14U and 18U.

The 2021 National Beach Tour Junior Championship is the culmination of the 2020-21 USA National Beach Tour, which started in September. Teams earned bids to the National Championship by competing in Beach National Qualifiers and Beach Regional Qualifiers around the country.
Among the players who have competed at the Junior Championship and gone on to play internationally for USA Volleyball are Audrey and Nicole Nourse, who have competed on the FIVB World Tour. Devon Newberry and Lindsey Sparks and also Tim Brewster and John Schwengel all played in the Youth Olympic Games after competing in the Junior Championship.
The National Beach Tour Junior Championship is focused on fun and competition, but also on safety as athletes and fans will be required to follow local mandates for protection during the pandemic. For more information on the event as well as COVID protocols visit usavolleyball.org.
