COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Professional beach volleyball is nearing the halfway mark on the FIVB World Tour, while USA Volleyball’s junior programs have begun the countdown to the summer postseason.

On the FIVB World Tour this week, the schedule will feature the first of many concurrent tournaments that will have USA athletes spread across the globe. USAV has teams playing in The Netherlands (June 14-18), China (June 16-18) and in Monaco (June 17-18).

For the juniors, USAV wrapped its first High Performance zonal championship, last weekend in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Central Zone Championships marked the first time that USA Volleyball held a zone-based championship for athletes to earn their way into the Beach High Performance Championships. On the Junior Beach Tour, there are 10 events remaining in June. The Championships are headed to Siesta Key, Florida, the second time the event has been hosted on the East Coast.
