COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 19, 2019) – The USA Volleyball Beach Department held a recognition dinner for its medical and athlete support providers on March 9, as Stacy Struble was named Provider of the Year.
Every season, medical providers donate their time to help U.S. Beach National Team players compete around the world.
Struble is a certified athletic trainer at Southwestern Community College in Chula Vista, Calif. She has supported teams internationally and domestically, including USA Softball, US Soccer, USA Rugby, USA Canoe/Kayak, USA BMX Cycling, USA Triathlon, U.S. Ski and Snowboard, USA Bobsled/Skeleton and many more.
She has also served at Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“It is an unbelievable honor to be named the 2018 Provider of the Year,” Struble said. “I have such enormous respect and admiration for what these athletes do in pursuit of their dreams and goals. The time and energy they put forth to train, travel, be apart from their families to compete in the elite arena is remarkable.
“The entire team of medical providers that USA Volleyball has supporting these athletes gives of themselves with the same tireless care and I’m so blessed to be around them. It is truly a team with mutual respect, sharing of knowledge and with the same common goal, to help the athletes compete at their best. USA Beach Volleyball is an amazing family that we all choose to be a part of and I love this family.”
