COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 28, 2022) – USA Volleyball has announced a new boys junior national championship qualifier that will have teams competing to reach new heights.
The USA Volleyball Mountain Classic Junior National Qualifier is scheduled for Dec. 2-4, 2022, at the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City in the Intermountain Region.
This is a new event and will be the 10th boys junior national qualifier. The 2023 USA Volleyball Boys Junior National Championship (BJNC) will also be in Salt Lake City on June 29-July 6.
“We are excited to be hosting a boys qualifier in Salt Lake City,” said Kelsey Dolphin, USA Volleyball events manager. “Salt Lake has always rolled out the red carpet for volleyball. The city has something for everyone, and we expect athletes, coaches and officials, as well as family and friends, will have a great experience.”
The qualifier will be a great opportunity for boys teams to get to know the Salt Lake City area before the 2023 BJNC.
“Salt Lake is turning into a major volleyball destination, thanks in large part to our continued partnership with USA Volleyball, said Clay Partain, executive director of Sports Salt Lake. “Sports Salt Lake is excited to support these events with our new volunteer and athlete experiences programs, as we continue to refine our efforts to better serve these incoming sports events. The community absolutely loves having the teams and athletes roaming about our stores, streets, and hotels. Our clean vibrant mountain city is a perfect fit for attendees looking to have a great experience both on and off the court.”
